Kerry Bristow, who studied Fashion & Textiles at Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology, graduated in July and launched new business, Goddess Lingerie, shortly after.
The 40-year-old, from Dolanog, Powys, put her dreams of becoming a fashion designer on hold when she had her two children, Emma, now 19 years-old and Laura, 15.
At the age of 38 she decided the time was right to return to learning and embarked on a two year course at Shrewsbury College.
After creating a range of lingerie for her final assessment, Kerry realised there was a gap in the market for individual, tailored underwear and set about developing a luxury brand with an emphasis on personal service.
Goddess Lingerie offers a range of handmade, luxury underwear and nightwear with a choice of off-the-peg garments, as well as bespoke designs.
Items start from ?45 and are available in a wide range of fabrics including the finest silks, satins and Chantilly lace.
Kerry, who also runs a successful cleaning business, Domestic Goddess, said: ?I want to make every woman feel special and offer a full service from design to creation in a perfect fit. Goddess Lingerie is about the entire package, it?s an experience ? from the initial consultation through to the final fitting.
?This is my dream. I?ve always wanted a career in fashion but took a step back to start a family. Now the children are older I have been able to go back to something I love, creating beautiful, handmade designs that truly bring out the inner goddess in any woman.?
